worth knowing.

Download, play a record, and start listening. Here are the details that help you get going.

What do I need to use MIKSMIKS?

An iPhone running iOS 17 or later. For live analysis, play music near the microphone or use a compatible audio input, then allow microphone access when you start listening. MIKSMIKS does not capture another app’s internal audio.

Does it work offline?

BPM and key analysis, your locally saved collection, the harmonic wheel and ear training work on your device. Discogs search, artwork downloads, optional online identification, and purchasing or restoring the lifetime unlock need an internet connection.

Do I need a Discogs account?

You can add records manually without one. Discogs search uses your personal access token, entered in MIKSMIKS Settings. You can also import a Discogs collection CSV. Online lookups need internet access.

Is the lifetime unlock a subscription?

No. Set tools is an optional one-time, non-consumable purchase for set planning and exports. Listening, collection tools, the harmonic wheel and ear training remain free. To restore a previous purchase, use Records → Settings → Restore purchase with the same Apple Account.

Can I see BPM and key on the Lock Screen or Apple Watch?

Enable Live BPM & key in Settings and start listening on your iPhone. Apple Watch Smart Stack mirroring requires a compatible paired Watch with watchOS 11 or later and an iPhone with iOS 18 or later. Tap Stop in the app to end listening; dismissing the Lock Screen card does not stop the microphone.
