Reporting an issue
Please include your iPhone model, iOS version, MIKSMIKS version, the steps that led to the problem and what you expected to happen. A screenshot can help. For audio issues, mention whether you used the built-in microphone, headphones or an external audio interface.
Do not include passwords, Discogs access tokens or payment-card details. Remove personal information from screenshots before sending them.
Getting a BPM or key reading
Open Listen, tap Start listening, and allow microphone access. Play music near the phone or use a compatible audio input. Give the app time to gather a stable reading. Results depend on the music, volume, background noise and input.
MIKSMIKS analyses incoming sound. It does not capture another app's internal audio. To end an active listening session, tap Stop in MIKSMIKS. Dismissing the Lock Screen card does not stop microphone capture.
Restoring the set-tools purchase
Open Records → Settings → Restore purchase while using the Apple Account that made the purchase. Listening, your record library and the harmonic wheel remain available without the optional set-tools purchase.
Discogs search
Discogs search requires a personal access token entered in the app's Settings. You can also add records manually or import a Discogs collection CSV. Keep your token private and revoke it in your Discogs account if it is exposed.
Lock Screen and Apple Watch
Enable Live BPM & key in Settings, then start listening on the iPhone. Apple Watch Smart Stack mirroring requires a compatible paired Watch with watchOS 11 or later and an iPhone with iOS 18 or later. The system controls presentation and update timing.
Privacy
